Maldives Open for Business -Investment Seminar for the visiting Turkish Delegation

Invest Maldives hosted an investment seminar for the visiting Turkish business delegation in Kurumba Maldives today under "Maldives Open for Business" program. The seminar enjoyed a huge support from Maldives business community, industry bodies and related government agencies.
In opening the seminar، Minister of Economic Development Mr. Mohamed Rasheed and the Vice President of Turkish Parliament Mr. Nevzat Pakdil highlighted the significance of historic relations between Maldives and Turkey and the need for economic cooperation across borders to overcome the current global recession was highly emphasized.
In addition, the Minister of Economic Development iterated the crucial role of foreign investments in the current stage of Maldives economic development and invited all foreign to investors to explore the opportunities in Maldives and promised to provide all possible assistance from the government of Maldives to all investors.
Information about the Maldives Open for Business program was presented by Invest Maldives followed by presentations on specific areas of priority for foreign investments by industry groups and experts. Maldives National Chamber of Commerce and Investment (MNCCI) also proposed to establish ‘Maldives - Türkiye Bilateral Business Council’ and ‘Maldives - Türkiye Friendship Association’.
Subsequent meetings will be held in the near future to further develop business relations between two countries. Invest Maldives will be holding more investment seminars in future to promote investment opportunities in Maldives.
